Lecale Cottages are self-catering accommodation 2 miles outside Rostrevor Village, in the Mourne Mountains, Co. Down. Situated on 24 acres of farmland, they have direct access to the Mourne Mountains. The cottages range in size from the 1 bedroom Leckan Beg, though to the luxurious 5-star Houses, with 3 large ensuite bedrooms in each.

With direct access onto the Mourne Mountains, Lecale Cottages are a perfect place to base yourself for a variety of activities. We can provide you with maps for walking, suggested itineraries, or indeed put you in contact with qualified local guides. Keen mountain-bikers will be happy to know that the start of almost all local trails can be reached within 5 minutes cycle from the cottages. Rental of bikes, and provision of guides and instructors can be arranged. Bike washing and storage facilities are on-site.

For those looking to fish, we have, in conjunction with the local angling club, built a fish-hatchery, which restocks the Rostrevor River, along which Lecale Cottages are built. If you are interested in sea-angling, we will be happy to arranged trips with the local providers. Currently in progress, is the planning of a purpose-built catch preparation and dry-room.

Rostrevor has many high-quality golf-clubs in the locality, such as Warrenpoint Golf club, or the famous Royal County Down links course. We can organise tee-reservations for your group.

If you fancy some time out on the water, Carlingford Lough is perfect place for some sailing. Just 5 minutest from Lecale Cottages, we can arrange water activities, from sailing, to kayaking.
