Belfast Model Flying Club

Our Flying Site for Control Line and small Radio Control Models is at Tommy Patton Park, Holywood Road, Belfast, and we fly Indoor in Ashfield Girl’s School, Holywood Road, Belfast. It is accessible by Car and Public Transport, as is the Indoor hall at Ashfield Girl’s School.

Services Offered

The Belfast Model Flying Club was founded in 1945. The main interest today is in control-line flying although we have a strong following in indoor and also silent electric flight with radio control. The Club has the use of what is possibly the best control-line flying site in Ulster at Patton Park on the Holywood Road in Belfast. This site is purpose built to a high standard and allows the club to host International Competitions for Stunt, Combat and Team Racing.

The Belfast Model Flying club has always had a strong tradition of welcoming new members and this continues to the present day. Anyone wishing to take up the sport of model flying and wishing to join the club will be assured of a warm welcome and a helping hand with their latest project if needed.
