Location / Coverage |  | Services OfferedShannagh-More Outdoor Education Centre is set in fifty acres of beautiful gardens, woodland and mountainside. The grounds stretch from the Mourne Mountains above Shannagh-More to the Irish Sea below.
Shannagh-More has been an Education and Library Board centre for thirty years and will be part of the new Education and Skills Authority. We welcome all kinds of school and youth groups, from the age of 9 upwards, all year round, midweek and weekend. Our beautifully renovated and extended building provides accommodation that will delight your young people, including those with a disability.
We provide exciting and educational activities, led by highly experienced and qualified instructors. We offer personal development residentials, GCSE and A level PE units, the John Muir Award, Duke of Edinburgh Gold residentials, Rescue Emergency Care first aid training, and orienteering and hillwalking leadership training. The centre grounds include a lake, climbing wall and ropes course.
A good campsite is available, for organised youth and school groups only, with toilets and showers, plus bunkhouse facilities included if desired. | | Activities OfferedArchery
