Our Guided walks are very much for those that want a comfortable holiday but at the same time being out in the open, walking, seeing and getting the feel for the Irish countryside. Our guides are selected because of their knowledge of the area which you will be walking. They will explain the ecology of the area, its history, art, architecture, customs, folklore and its natural history.Good accommodation, (private bathroom each location) and quality meals make for a holiday to be remembered. These holidays are Sat./Sat for the Guided Comfort/Special Interest Walks.

ANTRIM GLENS & CAUSEWAY GUIDED WALKS ITINERARY

Day 1 Arrive to first guesthouse outside Belfast City where we stay two nights.

Day 2 Enjoy a walk in the wonderful Belfast Hills overlooking the city but with glorious views across Strangford Lough and the North Channel.

Days 3 & 4 Moving north for our next two nights we walk towards the famous Antrim Glens and then explore them further.

Days 5 & 6 Following the coast to Ballycastle we spend our next two nights there and visit the legendary Rathlin Island, first stopping place of the Vikings many hundreds of years ago.

Day 7 Visiting the impressive Giants Causeway we then go on to Dunseverick Castle and finish up-literally in the Bushmills Whiskey Distillery.

Day 8 Departures.

Transfers offered from: Belfast City Airport.

Our Self-Guided walks give you that sense of adventure, where the you guide yourselves from place to place and we look after all the logistics ...move luggage, book accommodation, do route details/maps, keep an eye on you, etc..... all you have to do is walk each day and enjoy Ireland as it should be seen.... on foot ! Self-Guided Walking Holidays, 4 day, 6 day, 8 day, 10 day or 11 day can start/finish any day of the week

ANTRIM GLENS AND CAUSEWAY -SELF GUIDED WALK ITINERARY

8- Day Programme (SGAG8)

Day 1 - Arrive in the picturesque village of Broughshane

Days 2 - Walking the Moyle Way south, we finish at Glenariff Nature forest park

Day 3 - Heading north now along the Moyle Way, we descend from Ballycastle Hill & forest into the town

Day 4 - This is our day to transfer by ferry To Rathlin Island. A naturlalist's delight, with walks from 6-9km

Day 5 - We hug the coastline from Ballycastle to Ballintroy, a short but intersting walk with a visit to Carrich -a -Rede a must

Day 6 - We continue around the coastline visiting the Giants Causeway to Portballintrae. A walk to be savoured.

Day 7 - Another coastal walk, as we finish our journey at Portstewart with our final night
