Washing Bay Wetlands Park

Washing Bay Wetlands Park

Washing Bay LNR is a 4 hectare site situated on the shoreline in the south west corner of Lough Neagh.  It is a valuable site containing a number of diverse semi natural habitats, including wet woodland, eutrophic standing water, fen/swamp and reedbed, a river and a stream.

A wide variety of wildlife can be found with species such as otter, tree sparrow, bullfinch, curlew and more.

There is a pleasant shoreline walkway through the wetlands with easy access to the Lough.  There is also a Healthy Living Centre opened on request with toilets, café and childrens play area.
