Rowallane

Rowallane

Carved from the County Down landscape, Rowallane Garden on the outskirts of Saintfield, provides the perfect setting for those wishing to immerse themselves in nature’s beauty. Whether you are looking for leisurely walks, afternoon tea in the café or to simply relax in the walled garden and wildflower meadow, Rowallane provides for your every whim.

Noted for its collection of Azaleas, Penstemons and Rhododendrons, the 19th-Century garden allows you to leave the outside world behind you while you enjoy its unusual vistas and unique plants and shrubs of different ages, sizes and colour from across the world, throughout the year.

Walkers are catered for with a warren of trails across the estate. The Woodland Walk, which is popular with dog walkers and ramblers, leads walkers around the Rock Garden Wood on the edge of the garden into the Old Wood part of the garden. The newly added Farmland Trail leads through the fields and take in the summit of Trio Hill and its spectacular panoramic views over County Down and the ancient Rath.
