Segway NI - Group Adventure (This lasts 1.5 - 3 hours!)

About the Idea

Summary of the Day

Arrive & welcome

Safety talk, name tags and refresher of terms & conditions

Practice lap for all riders with safety briefing/training

The group will then be broken into 2 groups:-

1 will go and do a skills course

1 will go and do a speed trail course

After all riders have completed the above the teams will switch and attempt the other course

Each course is timed and if any cones are touched a time penalty is added to that rider’s time

After the above 2 events have been completed the scores will be added and all competitors will enter the final event knowing what they must achieve to win!

The final event will be a slalom style course – 2 competitors will complete this side by side to ensure maximum fun (+ bragging rights for the rest of the day)

Once the scores from the final course have been added to the overall scores we can then complete the adventure course with a prize giving for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

SEGWAY NI will have trophies/medals made, with engraving, etc. so it will be a nice keepsake from the day for the winners

After the prize giving we will take all riders of a tour at full speed so they can finish the day with the biggest ‘Segway Smile’ possible!

Extra services for free:-

2 of the Segway units will have mini camcorders attached to the front and after the event we will use the footage from them to create a DVD for you and send a few copies to you so all you can relive the fun

You will also receive all photos taken on the day via disc

The minimum group size needed to book this activity is 15 making it the perfect activity for a stag or hen party, a great opportunity for the office to let their hair down or simply a chance to have a laugh with your mates! The length of the experience will depend on the group number. Approximate times are as follows:

15 – 20 people 2 hours

20 -25 people 2.5 hours

25-35 people 3 hours

35 + allow 4 hours

When does the activity take place?

SegwayNI operates 7 days a week so think of a time that suits you and get in touch to discuss availability.

Where does the activity take place?

This Segway experience normally takes place in Craigavon lakes, however if this doesn’t suit Segway NI can come to you! The course can be done practically anywhere if enough notice is given - approx 2-3 weeks. (Please note this will increase cost per person slightly to cover additional time and travelling, etc)

Suitability

Please note that users must:

Be at least 14 years of age and have a participating adult with them if they are under the age of 16

Weigh at least 6 stone, but not exceed 18 stone

Wear the provided personal protective equipment (helmets, etc)
