Rathlin Island has been attracting walkers and all lovers of the great outdoors for many years. It is a place of unspoilt beauty and friendly people. Come to see wildlife (birds in summertime are a big attraction) or simply enjoy the amazing vistas.
Your accommodation is in Coolnagrock Bed and Breakfast (NITB approved). This modern home enjoys uninterrupted views across to the Mull of Kintyre. You will stay in quality rooms - either en suite or with private bathroom - on a B and B basis. An evening meal is generally available nearby or (out of season) in Coolnagrock.
Walks are with an experienced local guide, with options ranging from a 90 min walk on quiet roads to a full day with time to walk along cliffs, moorland and meadow. Although flexible, your guide will generally consult with you in advance as to how the time will be spent.
A self-guided option is also available for the "Rathlin Trail to the RSPB Seabird Viewpoint”. Maps and information for this iconic quality walk will be provided.
You will be collected from the island ferry when you arrive and returned there at the end of your stay. A simple packed lunch is available as an option.
This break is suitable for adults with reasonable mobility and fitness. The emphasis is on enjoyment, leisure and comfort - not extreme activity!
