Evening Sea Kayaking Experience

Available mid week during Spring, Summer and Early Autumn, weather dependant, usually held on a Monday evening.

Suitable for all abilities, no experience necessary. Suitable for ages 16 and up. This activity is disabled friendly.

On The Day

We will meet you in the car park at Whiterock, Killinchy, Co. Down where one of our instructors will give you a registration form to complete (anyone under the age of 18 will require a parent or guardian to sign this form for them) this should be clearly stated in suitability and a health & safety briefing. You will then be kitted out with everything you need for your paddle and introduced to your craft for the day evening. The tour starts and ends at Whiterock, Killinchy where you will paddle around the picturesque shore and past some of the many islands in the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty as the sun sets. Throughout the session your instructor will provide you with tips and techniques to make sure you get the most out of your time on the water. The session will last approximately 3 hours from arrival to departure, possibly including a short break on one of the scenic islands.

What's Included

A qualified experienced coach to lead you on your tour to give you a memorable learning experience.

All safety equipment, and waterproofs if you require them. We do not provide footwear which must be worn at all times.

What To Bring

Warm comfortable clothing suitable for the weather conditions, a pair of shoes or wellington boots if you wish to try and keep your feet dry. A wind/waterproof jacket if you have one. Snacks and a drink to take on your journey.


From Comber/Newtownards drive south towards Downpatrick, follow the road until Balloo. Turn left once you pass Balloo House the Pub / Restaurant on your left. Follow signs for Killinchy and keep driving until you hit the sea! You will find a small car park to park on a hair pin turn adjacent to the sailing club.
