About the Event

This is a weekend that provides guests with a ready made walking itinerary. Three very different walking experiences are included along with 2 nights accommodation and a breakfast hamper on both mornings of your stay. You will be based at the idyllic 4 star Green Holiday Cottages in Kilkeel. A renovated 18th Century Corn and Flax Mill on the banks of the Kilkeel River.

Friday evening's walk is based in around the fishing village of Kilkeel and is led by experience local Blue Badge Guide Gwen Chambers . This 1.30hr historical walk opens your eyes to Kilkeel's romantic and ruthless past!

Saturday's walk is led by experienced Mountain guide Peter Rafferty, he will guide you on his" Smithies and Smugglers Tour" - a heritage trail through the Mourne's highlighting the granite men of Mourne. This is a 2 -4 hour walk depending on ability.

Sunday's relaxation and mindfulness walk will be led by Jenny Hanna. Jenny is a health and wellbeing trainer and facilitator who will guide you through a series of relaxation exercises as you walk though the private meadow and ancient woodland at The Green. This walk should be 45 mins - an hour.

What to Bring

Out door clothing suitable for walking in the Mourne Mountains.
