Red Bull Foxhunt 2017


Rostrevor MTB Trails





About the Event


On October 7th and 8th, 450 riders will play the part of "the hounds" as they try to outride three Foxes in Rostrevor's Mountain Bike trail.

This year’s foxes are previous Downhill Mountain Bike World Champions Gee Atherton and Loïc Bruni, plus 3 times Foxhunt winner Colin Ross.

Participants will gather at the top of the mountain for one of the world's biggest mass starts, taking on the treacherous 3.5 mile downhill course as fast as possible in order to outrun the Foxes.


Friday 6th October

- Pits and parking, and camping is available from 4pm.

Saturday 7th October

- Registration opens at 8am - 4pm.

- Open practise runs from 9am - 2:30pm

- Individual timed run and seeding begins at 3pm.

Sunday 8th October

- Registration opens from 8am - 10am

- Open practise runs from 9am - 12pm

- Red Bull Foxhunt 2017 begins at 1pm.


An uplift service will be in place for both Saturday & Sunday as far as the top of DH1, with a 15 - 20 min push up to the start of course. Helmets must be worn whilst on the uplift vehicles.

Event Parking

All Competitor parking will be in kilbroney Caravan Park and the overflow field beside it.

Vehicle passes will be allocated on arrival and it is important that you display these on your dashboards at all times.

Please note - It is advised that you do not leave any valuables in your vehicle.
