Community Archaeology Dig on Divis Mountain

About the Event

A public open day to give people and families a chance to view and maybe even take part in a live excavation!

The big dig will take place behind the Long Barn visitors’ centre with experts from Queen’s University’s centre for archaeological fieldwork, NI Environment Agency’s Built Heritage and the Ulster Archaeology Society.

Participants should be equipped for inclement weather and wear suitable footwear.

(Voluntary donations welcome).

All ages welcome.
