About the Event

Our little island is so small that you'd expect we all knew it like the back of our hands, but unfortunately most of us still only know the roads to and from work and little more. There are so many unexplored places to be seen, many of which are best viewed by boat. So why not organise a day out on Lough Neagh, the largest body of fresh water on the whole island, or a trip down a section of our largest river, the Bann to get out there and have an adventure!

This course is aimed at those who want to try canoeing in a safe environment with qualified staff.. No previous experience is necessary and all "the basics" will be taught as you go. If you want to learn more afterwards or already have some experience, try our CANOEING IMPROVERS course.

Give canoeing a go - you never know where it might take you!

What to Bring

We will supply boats, paddles wet suits and bouyancy aids. You need to bring:

change of clothes

spare sturdy soled shoes (for the water)

towel

swimsuit or similar for under your wet suit

any medication you may need

and most importantly an attitude for adventure!
