Ever wanted to have a go at kite surfing?

Now is your chance! This taster session is the perfect introduction to kite surfing for those who have never tried the thrilling sport before. Friendly and fully qualified instructors will be on hand at all times to teach you the ropes and ensure you have an unforgettable session on the water.

During your three hour session you will cover:

-The skills you need to start practicing in the park or at the beach.

-Safe wind directions and conditions for powerkiting.

-Hazards at a spot.

-How to set up a powerkite, including pre-flight checks.

-The use of safety systems.

-Basic flying skills with the Powerkite.

-Launching and landing the powerkite.

-How to twist and untwist the lines while flying the powerkite.

-Walking and changing directions while flying the powerkite.

-Knowing the wind window and power zone.

-Progressing to 4 Line Kitesurf Kite in preparation to complete full Kitesurfing course

All our lessons come with a free Progression School DVD. All necessary equipment is provided including kites and wetsuits. All instructors are fully qualified and insured. Participants must be 18 years old or over and be a confident swimmer, capable of swimming.

We can teach 7 days a week throughout the year wind permitting.

NI Kitesurfing is based on the Ards Peninsula, within Northern Ireland and is surrounded by a number of great beaches that can take varying wind directions. We can be found teaching at Ballyholme, Cloughey, Millisle, Ballywalter, Greyabbey and Tyrella.
