Bushcraft Fire (FULLY BOOKED)

About the Event

This is a 1 day introductory course teaching many of the aspects of building, lighting maintaining and using fire while out in the woods, in the mountains or on the trail.

Learn how to correctly identify, prepare and utilize local plants and trees as fuel. Immerse yourself in the wonders of ancient fire lighting techniques.

Learn how to correctly prepare your fire site for safety and efficiency. Construct different fire lays for light heat and cooking. Although this course is based on Bushcraft Fire we will also be covering other aspects of Bushcraft throughout the day.

No prior Bushcraft experience is required for this course other than an open minded willingness to learn and a good sense of humour.

This activity is suitable for 14 years and above. Anyone under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult.

What to Bring

What you will need is some basic outdoor clothing, drinks, packed-lunch, and a day-sac. It will also be worth bringing a notebook and a camera for keeping a record of what you have learned.

A suggested kit-list is available and it will also be e-mailed to you with your e-mail receipt once your booking has been accepted.

Any specialist equipment needed will be provided for your use during the day.
