Exploring Belfast by Bike!

The Belfast Times took to the streets of Belfast to enjoy a tour of the city on a truly unique Belfast City Bike Tour and here's what they had to say...

Let’s start with the fun and hugely enjoyable City Bike Tour with the environmentally friendly guide Jerome, and his environmentally friendly way to tour Belfast.

So there was me, getting up early on a beloved Saturday off and heading over to Kent Street for the 10am tour. It was bitterly cold, or baltic, as we like to call it! We got on the surprisingly comfortable bikes with the cool wrap around handle bars and headed into the Cathedral Quarter, over to the Titanic Quarter, back to St George’s Market, Crown Bar, Ulster Hall, Botanic, Queens, Sandy Row and back to cycle HQ in Kent Street.

At almost 7 miles, we definitely got to places no other tour can reach and it was a lot of fun. It really was 7 easy miles and the 3 hours flew in. I had forgotten how much fun cycling was and the bike will be getting rescued from the garage very soon.

Jerome has a superb knowledge of Belfast and right from the start, he was pointing out lots of interesting facts and pieces of information I never knew before.

You just have to try out this tour! It is fantastic value at £15 and the perfect way to see our compact city. Jerome also told us about 2 great new tours he’s about to start up (guess who’ll be booking a spot to try them), but more details on them when they start.
