For all ages from 3 to 103, everyone loves our exhilarating sightseeing boat tour of Strangford Lough! See the SeaGen, Angus Rocks Lighthouse and some of the many seals at Cloughy Rocks Nature Reserve! This trip is run at the best time of day to see 'The Narrows' an unusual natural phenomenon - the surface whirlpools! See them spin as the tide rushes through! You might get to see a pod of porpoises or even a Basking Shark! An excellent trip available to anyone, young or old, which never fails to please.

You will meet at the Strangford Village Pier 15 minutes before your boat is due to depart, where you will be given your life jackets before embarking and setting off on your 45 minute thrilling and informative boat tour of Strangford Lough! Trips leave promptly from Strangford Pier.

Flat soled shoes only please! Wrap up warm even if it's a sunny day and definitely bring your cameras!


Available for everyone - children and adults, from 3 years old to 103 years old!

Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Directions to Location

Head south from Belfast on the Ormeau Road (A24). When you reach the Carryduff roundabout, take the second exit towards Saintfield for the A7.

After approximately 15 miles you will arrive at a roundabout at the entrance to Downpatrick. Take the first exit then an almost immediate right, onto Strangford Road. Keep going on this road until you arrive in Strangford - the pier will be straight ahead of you and there is parking in the square.

The Strangford Sea Safari will be to the left of the main Portaferry - Strangford ferry slip.
