The beaches in Northern Ireland are relatively unused and therefore offer an excellent location for this sport. Limavady Borough Council actively promote kite sports on Benone Beach although there are restrictions in the summer months. Organized racing takes place over the winter.
The most popular kite buggy & landboard locations in Northern Ireland are Benone Beach in County Londonderry and Tyrella Beach & Murlough Beach in County Down.
