The vast majority of events take place in the Mournes in County Down, but there are also races on the Antrim Coast; Binevenagh, County Londonderry; Slieve Gallion, County Tyrone and Scrabo Hill, County Down.

Binevenagh is popular and provides a challenging run for enthusiastic fell runners. Access is not restricted but the reserve is at least 3/4 of a mile from the nearest available parking.

The Mourne Mountains are situated between Armagh and Down and consist of twelve peaks. Slieve Donard, at 850m, is Northern Ireland's highest mountain. Information on specific courses through this mountain range can be found on www.nimra.org.uk
