Caving is the best way to discover Northern Ireland's inner beauty. Give it a go and you'll find your way through hidden passages to a remote world of chambers adorned with natural features that will take your breath away.
There are well over 50km of caves in Northern Ireland, with the longest stretching to 7km! There is a fantastic range of caves to choose from and it's always an exhilirating day out. Beginners start by exploring horizontal caves and have to twist and turn through tunnels, slide on their bellies, paddle through water and even swim a little. More experienced cavers graduate to discover vertical drops and use ladders and ropes to get around safely.

You can visit the Marble Arch Show Caves and take a boat ride deep into the caves to find out if caving is for you. To try caving, contact a caving centre where you can learn the basic skills from a professional. They will provide all the necessary equipment and all you will need to bring is warm clothes.

Untill you reach an advanced stage it is not recommended to go caving without a guide. Therefore the equipment you need to buy is minimal. All of this (such as helmets, torches, harnesses etc) will be provided as part of your booking with your chosen activity provider.
