The west is best for walking
Fermanagh’s luscious green countryside and lakeside scenery make it the ideal location for walking. With the new Ulster Way opening between Aughnacloy and Florence Court, Share are ideally located for a rest point en-route. Meander down the Lower Bann Canoe Trail while soaking up the scenery, watching the wildlife and learning the essential skills for becoming a competent open boat paddler.
Be completely self sufficient carrying all your equipment in the boat and practising the Leave No Trace ethos.
If you love nature and you want to relax in a peaceful and picturesque environment then this unforgettable experience is for you.
The River Bann is steeped in history dating back to Mesolithic times. From the trail’s head at Toome, the river flows into Lough Beg – a beautiful area that is rich in wildlife. From Lough Beg it narrows at Newferry and acts for most of its length as the boundary between counties Londonderry and Antrim. On entering its last stretch towards the Atlantic Ocean it passes through the town of Coleraine. The trail finishes at Ballywoolen – beside a beautiful nature reserve owned by the National Trust and approximately 1.5 km from the Barmouth.
All boating, camping, and safety equipment will be provided for this 3 day learning and sight seeing experience with one of our qualified canoe coaches.

Indulge in a relaxing evening tour in double or single sea kayaks, from Portaferry or Whiterock, and be rewarded with an abundance of marine creatures, astonishing scenery, uninhabited islands and beautiful wildlife. Finish off with a pint at Daft Eddies pub.

Costs based on a minimum of 4 people, one-to-one coaching available, 7 days a week
We provide all the equipment you will need; boat, buoyancy aid, spray deck, paddle & helmet. All you need to do is turn up in comfortable warm clothing, with a change of clothes in case you get wet. Of course, if you have your own gear or equipment, you are welcome to bring those too.
